Fire inspections

The regular fire safety check

In Upper Austria, the fire safety and hazard risks of all buildings are regularly assessed during official inspections.

The inspections are carried out by the relevant local authority. This work is usually performed by a local authority employee together with a technical expert from the BVS Brandverhütungsstelle für OÖ.

A fire inspection covers everything that could cause a fire or is used for active firefighting.

You will receive the appointment for the fire inspection from the local authority by mail. They will also coordinate the entire procedure.
