This is what modern fire protection planning looks like: 3Hof4 wins BVS special prize
The Upper Austrian Construction Technology Prize is an established award for students in the final year of HTL1 Bau und Design Linz. The Upper Austrian Construction and Timber Construction Guilds and the proHolz Upper Austria initiative use the award to promote young talents in the industry. Projects in five specific fields were honoured. The aim is to visualise forward-looking ideas from training and practice.
As part of the current award ceremony, our special prize ‘The cleverest fire protection solution’ was awarded to the ‘3Hof4 – accommodation, education and leisure’ project.
The project impressed us fire protection experts with
- the conceptual use of technical fire protection equipment as an alternative to traditional structural solutions
- the practice-orientated planning with special consideration of the extinguishing water concept
3Hof4 combines modern half-timbered construction with regional materials and ecological efficiency. The project utilises flexible room solutions for boarding school operations, leisure and education and impressively demonstrates how well thought-out fire protection can be an integral part of planning.
Our expert Andreas Casta presented the award to the winners: Felix Fischer, Christoph Weissenbök, Daniel Reisenberger, Thomas Plank
Congratulations on this great achievement!
